Chief executives from Tesco, Starbucks, BSkyB and Marks & Spencer were invited to Downing Street today for a climate change summit with Tony Blair. The bosses of some of Britain's biggest corporations met the prime minister and the environment secretary, David Miliband, to discuss climate change and plan a co-ordinated offensive on carbon emissions pencilled in for March 2007. Also present at the meeting was the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, and the BBC director general, Mark Thompson, and the BskyB chief executive, James Murdoch.
