The Energy Department will provide $100 million for more research into making hydrogen an affordable alternative energy source, a White House spokesman said Tuesday.
Energy Secretary Sam Bodman "is making an announcement this afternoon on one of the president s priorities. He s announcing $100 million to fund 25 hydrogen research and development projects," said White House spokesman Tony Fratto, who was traveling with President Bush to Sarasota, Florida, for a campaign event.
